Snappy Nappy "Waterloo"

After 8 months of Painting, 3 months of scenario planning and crafting.  The Day finally Arrived for our massive multiplayer Snappy Nappy Game at Living Hope Alliance Church.  I had 2 British Players, Charity and James, 4 Prussian Players, Aidan, Spencer, Kenny and Jim.  And I had 2 French Players, Jonathan and Ryan.  I set up a 6 table game with a map that did not show how the tables connected allowing players to get lost.  I also had 2 historical tricks up my sleeve.

Charity, the British Player started in her historical Position as the British Reserves near Brussels.  She barely got to move to the heights near Waterloo when Jonathan as Napoleon snuck his elite Guard around the Prussians and British.  He avoided contact and made it to the outskirts of Brussels with 40% of his Army.  He outnumbered Charity 5 to 1 and Charity formally offered her surrender and Jonathan accepted.  He achieved a major objective by capturing Brussels.

So how did this happen?  From the French starting point Jonathan sent the majority of his army under Ryan to head to the West (a Historical Plan).  Jonathan wanted to crush and isolate the much smaller allied forces under Wellington (James).  And with Great French efficiency, both elements surprised the British.  James had 2/3 of the allied forces but still was outnumber 2 to 1.  Meanwhile the 4 Prussian players were confused and moved from table to table lost in the Belgium country side.  they were desperately trying to answer the pleas for help by the British but could not find the enemy for a few hours.

While Jonathan as Napoleon Blitz Krieg Brussels.  Ryan entered into a slog of a battle with James.  Who in the nick of time had help from Aidan's Prussian Corps which evened the odds.  This Battle was pitched back and forth with units breaking rallying and returning to the fight.  Much like the historic Borodino.  It was the bloodiest part of the battle with high casualties and little ground gained.  Kenny's Corps entered the table and tried to come to Brussels the back way to surprise Jonathan on the Brussels table.

However, there was not much to talk about at Brussels.  Jim's Corps arrived first but Napoleons Grand Battery dismissed and shattered Jim's Corps before it could do much damage.  Due to the narrow roads.  Spencer's Corps arrived too late to aid Jim's Shattered Corps and was too destroyed in detail.  After wards Jonathan had shifted his defenses and destroyed Kenny's Surprise attack in detail.

In the end it was a Massive French Victory.  Vive Le France!
Great Game
