Hermitcraft TCG

 

Not all games on our table are models and terrain.  Sometimes my wife and I like to play other games.  The first one we are featuring here is Hermitcraft TCG based on the famous Hermitcraft server on YouTube. This game was invented by content creator Vintage Beef during Season 9 of hermit craft.  My wife and I are huge fans so we bought Hermitcraft TCG.  We love the game! So here is our review of the game.

Hermitcraft TCG is a deck building Trading Card Game published by Creo Cards.

My Reviews are going to be graded like classes in College; A,B,C,D,E.  At the end we will get a GPA which will determine if this game makes distinguished honor roll, honor roll, passes or fails.  A good game should at least pass with a C average. 

The categories I will be grading are 1) Presentation/Product/Package, 2) Game Rules/Mechanics, 3) Historical/fantasy Cannon Accuracy, 4) Cost/time, 5) Good Time and Memories

1). The package is a great package.  The cards are high quality and the starter box is high quality as well.  My favorite are the signed Hermit Cards and the Rare Hermit Cards.  The artwork is full of easter eggs to the hermit craft server.

2) Game Rules/Mechanics.  Hermitcraft TCG is an easy game to learn.  It plays like Pokemon.  My only complaint is the game is not perfectly balanced

3) Cannon Accuracy.  If you love Hermitcraft on YouTube, you can hear the Hermits say the phrases that are on your cards for example, JoeHills Rare move Tiiiiime Skip, I cannot help to say it the way that Joe Hills does from Nashville Tennessee.  Or Grian "Start a war."  The art too brings back great memories too from the hermit craft server.  So don't Sleep on this like Bdubs.

4) Cost/time.  The game can resolve itself in 5-30 minutes.  Which is short but enjoyable for datenight.  The only negative is cost.  This is on the higher end of trading card games costing a little more than a $1 a card.

5) Good times.  There are some great games.  Though every once in a while you will end up with a game that is a dud.
