Sink the Bismarck Round 2 with the Nephews
Earlier this year I got to host another game for my nephews on a family vacation. They wanted to play victory at sea sink the Bismarck. So Elias played the Germans while Max and Judah played the English. This was a single blind game. The British Ships deployed on the table but the German Bismarck and Prinze Eugen were hidden from view. The British had to use their swordfish flights to find the Bismarck and sink her.
This was a lot of fun to play. Elias used the Prinze Eugen as bait to try and draw all the British attention to her so he could sneak the Bismarck off the table. He was a few turns from success if not for a lucky placement by Judah and his Swordfish torpedo bombers. Man History repeats itself again!!!!
Those Pesky Planes kept Bismarck from escaping to the final roll of the game. Elias had to pass a roll to put out an engine fire. If he succeeded he would escape the table. If he fails, the Bismarck would succumb to the fires and sink to the bottom.
He failed the role in probably one of the most exciting games of Victory at Sea I have ever watched. Many lost ships, the Prinze Eugen Sunk, Prince of Wales Sunk, King George V damaged, Hood Sunk. Oh and the Bismarck sunk as well.
