D&D Season 2 Entry 0

We are starting a new D&D campaign.  James, our DM, is creating an island continent similar to the game of thrones map with a southern part inhabited by humanity with crazy politics.  A Central mountain range occupied by the dwarves and a wall dividing the northern parts of the Continent from the south.  To the north there is rumor of dragons and other fell beasts of great evil.

My character is a lawful neutral character by the name of Matthew Snow.  His father is the commander of the wall and my family business is to lead the defense of man by defending the wall from the abominations of evil to the north.  I could care less about the politics of man in the south.  All that matters to me is the wall and its defense.  I have 2 brothers and many cousins within the chain of command for the wall.

My father is overall commander at the central stronghold fort.  As the oldest brother I am next in line.  I command the entire western section of the wall with my base of operation at a seaside fortress.  The next brother in line commands the forts to the west and my youngest brother commands ranger forces to travel north of the wall.  My cousins also run the command structure.  For example, my sergeant at arms is an older cousin of mine who is twenty years my senior but we have fought together for years.

I know that my character will be forced to leave my post but I have no idea what lies ahead...
